north america on christmas
2 days ago I went to the mall to look around for winterpeg (a.k.a winter in winnipeg) jacket…felt like I’m just in a philippine mall….feels like home…feels great… Kung dili lang mostly white people ako gakakita mura lang jud ko galakaw lakaw sa SM. Their decorations are pretty much like our malls’ xmas decors. Who copied with whom, north america or pinas? obvious ba rhea….well, i just don’t wanna say na most of the philippine’s system including governance is patterned after that of the north america. Any commotion? violent reaction?
Because I have been to europe,I can’t help but compare canada with it since day 1…it’s kinda biased though because I only have been to one province. I notice that I very much like how they celebrate xmas here…oh yeah…I do feel xmas here to the bones…
ma remember ko pa when i was in belgium…intawon nadungog lang nako ang xmas musics juz few days before the xmas day….and intawon xmas na dako…mingaw kaau ang palibot….and there weren’t much xmas decors in houses. Here in canada…xmas lights are fairly common in most houses.
But here….1st wk sa dec pa lang…may mga parties na…I have been to 2 dinner parties already…and I still have quite a number of xmas parties to go. Gifts giving are very common here as well….although for someone who’s currently broke like me…. louy ako mga friends ala akoy mahatag…blame it to the university for asking too much tuition where all my stipend goes!!! It sucks….i know….
If not for this very very cold winter…below freezing….this place would have been a nicer place to stay….
